As many of you may know Baltimore based musician Sarah Hughes was carjacked a few days ago after leaving a gig on Calvert Street. Her Selmer Saxophone, cash, phone, and car were all taken from her. The Baltimore and D.C. jazz community are coming together for a special fundraising evening to help replace her instrument and offset attendant costs. Artists confirmed at this point – Lafayette Gilchrist, Gregory Thompkins, John Dierker, Sarah Hughes Ensemble. Please feel free to join us for this evening, bring your instruments and let’s create something wonderful out of this bad situation! A suggested minimum donation of $10 would be appreciated.
