This workshop will be led by local artists Emily Schubert and Naomi Davidoff, and will explore mask making using paper mache, recycled and repurposed materials. The workshop is free to attend. Drinks will be on happy hour special at the bar! Attendees must be age 21 and over. Masks have been created historically for ritual, performance, protection and disguise. Artists are encouraged to use inspiration from historical and contemporary influences while designing their mask. Masks created at this workshop will be displayed as part of Altered Realities, MAP’s Fall Benefit Exhibition, from September 14 – November 4. All masks will be silently auctioned on October 28th, each priced with a starting bid at $100. Proceeds from the auction will be split equally between the artist and MAP.

Legally, we’re not even allowed to call it by its original name, but we’ve decided to double down on this Robust Russian Imperial Stout that will now be known as 21 The Hard Way.

Collide, Assassin Roomate, Part-Time Princesses, and GFFs: Ghost Friends Forever, just to name a few of the awesome comics she’s created and continues to work on. A percentage of all drink sales will be generously donated by The Windup Space, and Bmore will be hosting a silent art auction to directly benefit Monica as she fights against breast cancer.

In-Tune Painting w/Caleb Stine & Lucas Chohany

Celebrated folk musicians Caleb Stine and Lucas Chohany join forces with creators of In-Tune Painting, Alicia Gauger and Bridget Cusick, in this unique and intuitive painting workshop. Over the course of the 4-hour session, students are taught paint layering techniques and receive guidance in developing imagery to complete one-of-a-kind creations. Participants respond to a spontaneous live musical composition that inspires each stage of the painting journey, creating artwork that represents their personal interpretation of the session.  Attendees have referred to the session as a “synchronous movement,” referring to the harmony and shared energy between musician and student. The session is designed to create a therapeutic and meditative environment, and encourages individuality by breaking away from paint-by-number and singular image workshops. All skill levels are welcome. Participants will be working with acrylic paint on canvas. Supplies and snacks are included in the registration price.

It’s time to find your inner crab as award-winning chefs from around the country cook off against one another, competing for the Best Crab Dish and bragging rights for the year. In honor of their fourth anniversary, B&O American Brasserie will host the annual Crab Bash chef cook-off, this year benefiting the Waterfront Partnership’s Healthy Harbor Initiative.
