The Four Hour Day Lutherie
4305 Harford Rd, Baltimore
This December, Endris will present the fifth season of A Colonial Christmas! Lovingly described as “a passably authentic celebration of Christmas music from Colonial America,” these concerts bring to life the music, dance and stories of Christmastime 250 years ago. Through constable’s records, old broadsides, many books and a fair amount of educated guesswork, the Endris ensemble has stitched together a concert that is amusing, interesting, beautiful and even reasonably historically authentic! The concert divides roughly into halves, with the first being more church-centered music and the second being tunes that would’ve been more at home in taverns and with wassailing mobs. There’s singing, dancing, stories and a lot of beauty in all of the tunes. This concert is friendly for all ages, and all are welcome!
