On Sunday we are bar crawling and escape rooming. I love the weekend after Christmas!

With that sound embodied by the album’s brightly melodic and richly textured title track, Wash It in the Water finds the Georgia-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist mining his Puerto Rican and Cruzan heritage for inspiration. “Because of the music I was raised on, I’ve always heard rhythm in a very tropical, Latin-esque way—it’s something that resonates in the deepest parts of me,”says Deputy, who grew up in South Carolina.

They pioneered a percussive, soulful, groove filled sound that made them an in-demand headliner from the early 1990s onwards. Born in a rent party, Dubtribe Sound System distinguished itself by performing live for many hours on end, rather than replaying their recordings from DAT tapes or portable computers, and touring diligently without stopping for many years, often bringing their own traveling family with them on the road.

With humbug hovering over the holiday, it is up to the unamused audience to unravel the mystery of whodunnit like last year’s tacky knitted holiday sweater. While murder is making the night not-so-merry-and-bright, you must gather information, bribe your guests for clues, and solve the crime before this comedy act becomes a tragedy! Find your most festive holiday clothes to make this event a colorful spectacle as you seek to solve the crime! Ugly sweaters, garb gifted from the in-laws fit only for the back of the closet, and garish color clashes will be all the rage at this event.
