This upcoming weekend is my favorite weekend to be in Baltimore.  Otakon!  I love meeting all of the people and seeing the costumes they have worked so hard on.  Sure to be a lot of Pokemon themed ones this year.  It’s great to see everyone out there being who they want to be.

Local Love – Humane Education Event

The Maryland SPCA, together with ReLove Animals Inc., Baltimore County Animal Services and the White Marsh Mall, invite you to join us for Local Love, a free community event offering fun family activities for children and adults all aimed to teach the importance of being kind to animals in our community. Activities include: face painting, photo booth, making pet toys, reading to adoptable pets, art booth, prize wheel, games and much more. Meet adoptable pets from the Maryland SPCA and Baltimore County Animal Services; visit local vendors and educational booths including the Maryland SPCA, Baltimore County Animal Services, Baltimore Humane Society, ReLove Animals Inc., and Pet Valu. Food and drinks from local food trucks including La Cakerie, Laughing Crab, The Snowball Experience and South Carolina BBQ will be available for purchase. Local Love will be held rain or shine in the parking lot of the White Marsh Mall across from IKEA. There will be adoptable pets to meet–please keep your furry companions at home for this particular event.
