Things to do in Baltimore this week 12/4/17

This week is jam-packed with all things Christmas! I’ve recovered from my family visiting and I’m ready to do ALLOFTHETHINGS. Will I see you on Thursday at the Monument Lighting? I’ll be checking out the art at Under $500 and supporting some friends at Spin & Sell: Print Bazaar on Friday. I’m so excited to attend On the Rocks: A Drinks Party on Saturday and to check out the Fabergé egg collection! Those are just a few of the events I’ll be attending this week because I am still undecided about everything else. What are your plans?

The Sherman Holmes Project Feat. Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley
8PM – 11PM
Creative Alliance
3134 Eastern Ave, Baltimore
Presented with Charm City Bluegrass. Rob & Trey open the night and will then join Sherman for a blistering set of country, blues, R &B, bluegrass and gospel.
Sherman Holmes is a legend. Born in Christchurch, Virginia in 1940, Sherman was surrounded by country blues, R &B, gospel, and country music. Along with his late brother Wendell, and their friend Popsy Dixon, they incorporated these influences into the infectious musical gumbo that was the sound of their band, The Holmes Brothers. Since the passing of Wendell and Popsy, Sherman has stepped out front, creating a new studio project, The Richmond Sessions, that puts his weathered and wonderful vocals front and center. It is a supremely powerful project, with killer musical cuts, demonstrating that Sherman is still an artist in his prime.
