Things to do in Baltimore this week 2/5/18

Baltimore fun has picked up this week! Lots of pre-valentines day events going on. So many unusual options for celebrating this year. I’ll definitely be at Baltimore Brew Night!on Friday and attempting to squeeze in BROS & Arena Players Present: Constellations & Crossroads after.

Still looking for a gift for your sweetie? I went in to Ma Petite for some shoes last night and came out with like 10lbs of chocolate. Their selection is insane right now! Then I wandered in to The Wine Source and lost my mind in their cheese section so I think I’m all set as far as wine, cheese, and chocolate go. The chances of any of these not being entirely consumed before Valentine’s Day are slim though.

With the release of their debut full length album “We Carry Us” they want to support other LGBTQ artists of color. It’s vital for us to find DIY ways to support our community because in 2018 Trump plans to cut funding for the arts. ART FUNDS ART TOUR uses ticket sales, partnerships with brands and organizations to provide artist grants and performance stipends to underfunded artists in each city. In order to raise enough money to give out the grant and performance stipends we need people power. Come out and invite your friends to support your local queer and trans artists of color.

From February 9th through 18th, we are challenging restaurants to demonstrate their love and compassion for promoting healthier diets, reducing animal cruelty and saving the environment, by offering tasty and creative vegan options on their menus.  Some restaurants may even offer discounts and specials. It’s cold outside. Let Vegan Restaurant Week bring you some warmth. Join the celebration!
