YOU GUYS! This week is jam-packed with so many great events. Good luck narrowing down your Thursday night choices! It took me some time, but I know where I’m going. Also, the city is going to be hopping with tourists thanks to the Natural Products EXPO and the Red Sox being in town. Hope you didn’t need a last minute hotel room. Another great Baltimore tradition this week, the Baltimore Book Festival. You basically have no reason to be sitting at home. Get out there and have some fun!

7PM – 11PM
The Windup Space
12 W North Ave, Baltimore
Summer will soon come to an end. Time again for dead poets in performance!
Take part: Memorize a poem by heart and come perform it! “What do you mean perform?” you ask. Good question. A performance can be as simple as a vocal recital, or you can get creative with a costume, props, a musical instrument, or anything else that might primp your performance. Different poems lend themselves to different kinds of performance, so let the poem inspire you.

Since no one has gotten this yet, the cover of this event is a record I will be playing. When I play a track from it, the first person that tells me who plays keyboards on it, get’s a free drink. Other DJs may also be in attendance as it is open DJ night. So, if YOU have your own, bring ’em! This event is getting very popular and DJs are coming earlier than I have been able to get there so I may not be on right away.

Week 3 of ELM’s September Residency with lespecial and Trace Friends Mucho
We’ll be having a special late-night happy hour during lespecial’s set.
ELM – Electric Love Machine is best described as an outer space adventure through sound, infused with doses of electronic funk, traditional Americana and improvisational jazz, and whose foundation is built on a sense of community. ELM is part of a dedicated and diverse network of Live performance artists, acrobats, painters, graphic artists, musicians, fashion designers, and music lovers from in and around the Baltimore area who support each other and often perform together to make each show a profoundly unique experience.
lespecial – Born in the woods of Connecticut and raised in the wilds of Boston, lespecial has established themselves as innovators and tastemakers on their own unique trajectory. The aggressive death-funk dance trio explodes with energetic live sets, tapping into a primitive past distorted through the lense of contemporary technology.
