Wow, September really is the best month for events. Another great week of fun coming at you. Tomorrow I’m going to Farm to Chef Maryland at The Assembly Room. Lots of yummy food to eat and supporting a good cause. Not sure what I have going on during the rest of the week, too many options! On Saturday I’m going to Das Best Oktoberfest because we have lederhosen and a dirndl that we need to get some use out of and also beer, duh. On Sunday I’m going to the Mount Vernon Place Plein Air Art Show at The Engineers Club. It’s been fun watching all the artists painting around Mt. Vernon the last few weeks so I can’t wait to see everything they’ve done. What kind of fun are you going to get into this week?

And his self-penned She Blinded Me With Science became a Top 5 Billboard hit, going on to become an evergreen geek anthem of the 1980s that still pops up in Grand Theft Auto, The Big Bang Theory and Breaking Bad. Thomas has created original music for features films produced by George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Ken Russell; he has appeared with The Muppets, and on numerous TV shows from Soul Train toThe Late Show.
Since Fall 2014 Thomas has held the post Professor of the Arts at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. where he has launched the Music for New Media degree program to train composers for film, games and VR. He has recently released his first book The Speed Of Sound, on Macmillan/Flatiron.

Total age for the spirit is over 3 years in barrel, with 11 months in the finishing barrel. The result is a STUNNING Epoch expression that I wish we had more of. Alas, one barrel, as is tradition, will be released Saturday, September 28th at noon. The Sherry barrel imparts extra sweetness, raisin notes, and noticeable fruit to the nose and palate. Barreled at 100 proof like the previous Post Epoch, this shouldn’t be missed. Batch #2 of Post Epoch is going to be a hall of famer. Get here early to guarantee a bottle. It won’t last long!
