Things to do in Baltimore this week 11/18/19

Hi friends! This is a little late today but I was having so much fun this weekend I didn’t have a chance to work on it and then the new season of The Crown came out today. Life happens. Anyways, better late than never! Lots of fun to keep you entertained this week! On Thursday I’m going to Sipping On Self Love With Living Alexis at V-NO Winebar & Shop. On Saturday I’m going to Hops & Vines 2019 at Port Discovery Children’s Museum. I can’t wait to see what the new Atrium area looks like since they’ve redone it. I’m super excited for all the fun holiday parties coming my way. I hate to fill my closet with another dress I’ll only wear a couple of times so I’m trying out Rent the Runway UNLIMITED for all my engagements this season! If you want to give it a try, Click Here!

Space Kümité is a live event that combines theater, music, audience participation, the spirit of professional wrestling, and the flavor of 80’s action and sci-fi movies. Welcome to the Ilion; a generation ship flung into space by Earth’s tech geniuses centuries ago to escape a dying planet. It might be the first sign of life from Earth in ages. The crew of the ship is in turmoil. Follow the signal? Stick to the mission? Does it even matter? As a Space Kümité attendee, you will join the crew. You will hear the choices argued in song. In shouted insults and arguments, and unarmed, zero-gravity combat. You will judge their merit. Ghost Hunt at Lord Baltimore
8PM – 11PM
Poe’s Magic
20 W. Baltimore St, Baltimore
Bring your own equipment! Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Lord Baltimore Hotel is a 22-story French Renaissance hotel which stands 289 feet tall. It is the largest hotel in Maryland, located downtown, it’s an ideal place for business travelers, as well as people who are seeking respite from the many demands of life…and death! The Lord Baltimore hotel is rife with reports of ghosts. There is the ghost of the young girl who is continuously seen on the hotel’s 19th floor and even in the ballroom. She is often seen in her long, cream dress and black shoes playing with her red bouncing ball. Employees have seen the ghost of the little girl, as well as the ghosts of two adults. Sometimes, the little girl can be seen screaming, crying and rocking herself back and forth. There is talk of a young girl’s suicide on the 19th floor. It is said that the hotel’s elevators make constant trips to the 19th floor at night even when no one is ringing the bell. People have reported being touched by unseen hands in the elevator, as well as the lobby. Guests who are sensitive to the paranormal have reported waking up with nightmares. They have also complained about an unseen presence lingering in their rooms whilst they sleep. We will be investigating different areas each and every investigation. Every time you come, the ghost hunt will be slightly different. Some locations are subject to availability.

She Stoops to Conquer by Oliver Goldsmith at FPCT
Nov 22 – Dec 15, Fri & Sat 8PM, Sun 2PM
Fells Point Corner Theatre
251 S Ann St, Baltimore
The action of She Stoops to Conquer (1773) is largely confined to a night and a day in Squire Hardcastle’s somewhat dilapidated country house. Young Marlow, on his way to meet the bride his father has chosen for him, arrives at the house and mistakes it for an inn. The prospect of meeting the genteel Miss Hardcastle terrifies the diffident youngster; but the serving-girl Kate — in fact, Miss Hardcastle, who chooses not to clarify the misunderstanding — immediately catches his fancy. After a series of trifling confusions and inevitable eavesdropping, all is resolved. A comedy that has been an audience favorite for over 230 years.
